Transparent Pricing for Road Traffic Legal Services
Our firm offers comprehensive legal assistance to road users across Poland. Every driver’s case is different – both in terms of complexity and the work required to resolve it. For this reason, fees are agreed individually, following an initial analysis of the facts and legal issues involved. The figures below are indicative and do not substitute for individual legal advice.
Basic Legal Services
A single legal consultation – for example, advice following receipt of a fixed penalty notice – starts from PLN 350 net. Analysis of documentation from an accident or collision starts from PLN 500 net, as does the drafting of a procedural document. Attendance at a single court hearing starts from PLN 350 net.
Road Traffic Misdemeanour Cases
An appeal against a fixed penalty notice and cases involving speeding start from PLN 2,000 net. Full representation in a road traffic misdemeanour case starts from PLN 2,500 net. Defence in a drink driving case classified as a misdemeanour under Article 87 of the Code of Misdemeanours starts from PLN 3,000 net.
Criminal Road Traffic Cases
Defence during pre-trial proceedings – including cases involving causing a road accident or drink driving classified as a criminal offence under Article 178a of the Criminal Code – starts from PLN 3,000 net. Defence during court proceedings starts from PLN 3,500 net. Cases involving causing an accident resulting in death require a fee starting from PLN 5,000 net. Cases involving fleeing the scene of an accident (Article 177 of the Criminal Code) start from PLN 3,500 net.
Compensation Claims After Accidents
In compensation cases arising from road accidents, the firm operates on a mixed model based on a success fee, which minimises the client’s upfront costs. The initial fee starts from PLN 1,000 net, with a success fee of 15–20% of the compensation recovered. The lawyer’s remuneration is therefore directly tied to the outcome of the case.
Administrative Cases – Driving Licences and Vehicle Registration
An appeal against a decision to seize a driving licence starts from PLN 2,000 net. Proceedings for the restoration of a driving licence and representation in licence revocation cases start from PLN 2,500 net. An appeal against another administrative decision – for example, relating to vehicle registration – starts from PLN 1,500 net.
Vehicle Purchase Cases
Analysis of a purchase agreement before signing starts from PLN 400 net. A complaints procedure against a vehicle seller starts from PLN 1,500 net. Court proceedings involving hidden defects or fraud in the sale of a vehicle – for example, odometer tampering – start from PLN 3,000 net.
Hourly Rate
In particularly complex cases where the amount of work cannot be estimated in advance, an hourly rate of PLN 350 net applies.
Additional Costs
In addition to the lawyer’s fee, the following costs may arise during proceedings: court fees and stamp duties in accordance with applicable regulations; expert fees (including accident reconstruction) and medical opinion fees at market rates; and travel costs for hearings outside Poznań at PLN 0.8358 net per kilometre.
